I taught high school English at Arroyo Valley High School in the San Bernardino City Unified School District for 15 years. I am a National Board Certified Teacher, certified in English Language Arts/Adolescent/Young Adulthood. I am also a California Ambassador for National Board and work to support candidates in their own National Board journeys. I left my classroom in 2017 to work in our district's Employee Development Department to lead our innovative Demonstration Teacher Program. I am also the Student-Teacher Program Coordinator for the district and work with our 25+ university partners to find excellent placements for their student-teachers.
