2023 California Induction Conference

San Jacinto USD will share the innovative ways that it supports all teachers new to the district through a New Teacher Academy & Follow-Up Support Program. This model program, which has been in place for the past 6 years, focuses on the skills that new teachers are lacking: classroom management and positive behavior approaches, the social and learning needs of special student groups and professional processes and implications, including the evaluation process. SJUSD will share their plan on how they address these issues while still supporting new teachers to fully implement the core curriculum. Participants will leave with a vision and the tools necessary to create a successful New Teacher Academy.
