Dr. Shirin Kassih
Riverside County Office of Education
Project Manager
My name is Shirin Kassih. I live in Southern California with my husband and three children, ages 18, 15, and 13; I have two daughters, and my son is the youngest. I hold a Ph.D. in Educational Technology Leadership, a Master’s in Education Administration, and two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Computer Science and the other in Music/Piano Performance.
I have more than 15 years of working experience in the information and educational technology fields in the public and private sectors. Throughout my years of experience working with educational institutions and my years of leadership in the assessment and deployment of technology-based services and solutions, I have supported and led reform and change efforts related to technology practices as well as assisted in facilitating the exploration, discussion, and understanding of the challenges and possibilities of educational technology in a variety of educational settings.
I am currently a project manager at Riverside County Office of Education. I am part of a team who works on preparing new and prospective school leaders and educational administrators for the increased challenges of 21st-century educational leadership, including educational technology and online learning. During the past few years, I have experienced first-hand how dramatic changes in education have affected our organizations. Without a doubt, educational institutions are facing many challenges. Our commitment to providing support to students, educators, schools, districts, and families with a focus on equity to improve student outcomes will greatly enhance the learning experience of our students and staff.
